What is L4 autonomous travel?
Level 4 autonomy means Tripa can plan, book, and manage a business trip end-to-end without asking you to babysit each step — as long as the request fits the policy guardrails you've set. When something falls outside the rules, it stops and asks for approval instead of guessing.
Do I need a company account to use Tripa?
No. You can sign up as an individual and use Tripa as your personal AI travel companion with your own budget and preferences. Later you can create a company workspace or join an existing one using a join code — your personal account stays intact.
How does Tripa keep bookings inside company policy?
Policies (max spend per flight/hotel/car, allowed cabin class, minimum hotel rating, approval thresholds) are enforced server-side on every booking call. The AI agent can't bypass them by ignoring a tool result. Anything over the threshold auto-opens an approval request.
What happens if my flight is cancelled or delayed?
Autopilot monitors your trips. When a disruption hits, it searches for the best replacement inside policy, rebooks, updates the itinerary, and notifies you and any stakeholders — usually before you notice the airline's email.
How does expense capture work?
Snap a photo of a receipt. Tripa's AI reads the merchant, amount, currency and date, converts to your base currency, categorizes it, and files it against the correct trip. Finance managers see everything in one place and can export.
Is my data secure?
Traffic is encrypted with TLS; data at rest lives in an encrypted managed Postgres database. Access is enforced with role-based permissions and row-level security so employees only see their own trips and companies only see their own data. Auth flows are rate-limited with a CAPTCHA challenge and every sensitive action is written to an append-only audit log. See the Security page for details.
